Hello Neighbors & Happy Fall!
As you all know, we have had an ongoing issue with speeding in the neighborhood. Over the past few years, the board has made several efforts to remedy this including adopting a community wide speed limit of 25 mph, installation of a speed limit sign, and letters to repeated violators.
Due to the seriousness of this ongoing issue, our next course of action will be to install all-way stops at the first two intersections in our community, two more speed limit signs, and two “Slow, Children at Play” signs (please reference the attached map for the sign locations). The signs will be placed in the NCDOT right-of-way and the installations will begin in the coming weeks. It is our hope that this will finally reduce speeding and make our community roads safer for our members, children, and pets.
Wishing you all the best,
